Tunnel Flying VFS 1 focuses on the transitions (head-up - head-down) and precise placements in the centre. This will be practised individually or in small teams. Your body positions and spatial placement will be constantly checked and monitored by the trainer. In VFS, precision is vital and solid transitions and positions are the be-all and end-all of VFS. Grip techniques, communication and references will of course also be regularly examined and incorporated in the briefings and jumps.

In order to get started in the VFS discipline, a soundly-based knowledge of freeflying is necessary. You must be proficient in head-up and head-down positions. You can acquire this in an Artistic Events 1 or 2 course. Individual parachutists, groups and teams of all levels of experience may register for this course. 

The content of this proficiency level encompasses a theory block on grip techniques, communication principles and random- (basic) as well as block work (basic). Practical implementation in the tunnel. Video-debriefing of the session flown. Briefing for subsequent sessions and addressing individual questions. The entire course is heavily individualised and the contents combined and trained with changing flight partners.
